Five years ago (a year before graduating high school), my goals and aspirations were conventional. I wanted to get done with A levels and start working at my Dad’s office in Islamabad. Now (10 days after graduating college), I’m working at the Headquarters of Dell in Round Rock, Austin and my goals and aspirations are higher than ever. So where does the credit go? What brought about the big change? Who got me from Dad to Dell?
My teacher, counselor, mentor, and above all, one of my dearest friends, Flora Mahmood. Don’t go to her thinking a Harvard admission, or a job at Facebook, or becoming a millionaire. Go to her if you want a path, if you want your horizons broadened, if you need a reason to focus, a reason to believe, a reason to be. Your mistakes are your greatest mentors. She will shed light, pick apart, and set right, every single mistake of yours.
